The AStA Department of Intel Affairs is led by Hannah Bornemann.

We are your go-to contact for all questions regarding exams, your studies, or problems with lecturers. Moreover, our department supports the student representatives on the faculty-level (Fachschaftsrat, FSR). We are tasked with organizing the annual semester ticket vote as well.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we cannot offer you physical office hours. We can however schedule a phone or video call if you have pressing concerns. You may reach us by email here, or Julia Bartels can help you during our consultation hours via telephone (0551-3934563), Wednesdays 12.00 – 13.00.

We stay in touch with the university’s representatives and aforementioned student representatives in order to enhance the environment of your studies, improve campus infrastructure, and achieve more possibilities for student participation. First and foremost, these tasks are taken care of by Hannah Bornemann and Roman Kirk. Additionally, we have compiled a list of the email addresses of all student associations (Fachschaften) which we are always trying to keep up to date.

Another field of responsibility of the department is freshmen support. Due to the current situation, we are working to find ways to deliver many of our services in a digital form. Electronic “goody bags” for freshmen have been released and are available here. If you have questions concerning the beginning of your studies at Göttingen University, feel free to email Patrick Mack at the freshman support directly.

Lastly, the AStA maintains a large inventory of various articles like benches, small marquees, and coffee makers useful to hosting events. These can be borrowed by student groups. Send your inquiries to this email adress.

If you are an international student, the ASR (Ausländischer Studierendenrat), the Council of International Students, might also be of interest to you. You can find more information here.
